Well, Hello friends!
I am sorry I have been such a bad blogger-- I am back and I will try and be better about it-- My goal is 3 blogs a week...we'll see how i do!
So, want to know what's happened in the past 6 months!? ARE U SURE? I don't know if you can handle it! lol
well...let's see, I found out I was having a little girl-- being quite the shopper I was SUPER EXCITED to shop for all kinds of little hats and bows because HELLO-- every little girl needs a bow, and having 2 boys before I am pretty much over camo and BLUE!! It's TIME FOR PINK!!
About 28 weeks into my pregnancy I came down with really high blood pressure, had protien in the urine-- all that fun stuff! I was diagnosed with pre-eclamsia quite early on and then later with gestational diabetes. I was put on bedrest, and with 2 little boys to care for that was a joke! Praise God for our church body and good friends or Kiah would never had made it as long as she did. Our church started meals-- they gave me a salt-free diet and my 3 men yummy tasty food for close to 5 weeks! can you believe that!? And as an added bonus my girlfriend Jessikah who I love dearly came and babysat me for countless weeks! She would take my kids on walks to the park, playing in the back yard-- all the stuff I couldn't do...
Then came the major problems!! All of a sudden I had a horrible pain in my side and back that sent me to the hospital countless times. (8 times to be exact--then I was admitted) They started giving me shots of morphine and then sending me home. Finally they admitted me with a severe kidney infection. I was on MAJOR DRUGS and my organs began to swell and shut down...that's never good! I went home a week later with them telling me it was kidney stones and i would have to wait and pass them! HOLY COW! ...that's all i have to say about that--
We had a horrible flood in my house that basically sent poo water thru the walls, into my kids room (let's just say many of their toys disappeared NEVER TO RETURN) the landlords thought it would be a good idea to "air it out with a fan" So, needless to say we spent a week at my parents and immidiatley gave our 30 days notice. We found a house we really liked, but they were asking more than we could afford-- God did some really cool stuff and the new landlord chose us as his tennants. We were supposed to move in on January 10th so that gave me 3 weeks to pack. MEANWHILE-- I had my normal check up to make sure baby Kiah was doing well, I was going to the doctors up to 5 times a week. (between doctors visits, non-stress tests and glucose sceens Pomona Valley was my home away from home)
well, December 22nd at 3pm I had a visit with Dr. Cropper I told her about my eye exam * they thought my blood pressure was causing my retina to detatch and for me to go blind--WOW...now that I look back this seems like a bad dream LOL-- glad it's over!
ANyways, she said it would be safer for Kiah to come out now and possibly go into the nicu-- but i'd be alive and able to see her! I was 34 weeks...She came back into my room and said ok.. it's 4pm, you're in at 6 pm for an emergency c-section! WHAT?! AHHHHHHH!!
So, sure enough-- Kiah Nicole Ax was born 6 weeks early. December 22nd at 11:28p.m.
She showed signs of respitory distress so she went into the NICU right away. I did not get to see her for 24 hours so I was not a happy campter...But once i saw her she had my heart! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!! She was teeny...*born at 6lbs. 17.5 inches **She would have been in the high 8's if she went to term**
She spent the first 2 weeks of her life in the nicu and we finally came out-
If I told you all we went thru after that you would think I was making it up.
We battled sickness after sickness between the flu, colds, R.S.V. *landed Kiah and I in the hospital for 1 week...more flu, more colds, pink eye, and the list goes on. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS...We are healthy, we are safe, we have eachother and we are all under one roof...in a bigger house only 1 mile from Daves work *calvary chapel chino hills. WE ARE BLESSED!!
Here's a pic. of my baby girl
